King Stefan Tvrtko I Kotromanić Park is one of the newest and most attractive parks in Banja Luka, opened in 2024 after the reconstruction of the large roundabout near Kastel Fortress. Located between Kastel, Ferhadija and the city center, this modern park forms a new ambient area and a recognizable gathering place in the heart of Banja Luka. The central part of the park is dominated by a monumental statue of King Tvrtko I Kotromanić, over ten meters high, dedicated to one of the most important medieval rulers of this region. As the first Bosnian king, Tvrtko I Kotromanić left a strong historical legacy, and his monument today represents a new symbol of the city.

King Stefan Tvrtko I Kotromanić Park is one of the newest and most attractive parks in Banja Luka, opened in 2024 after the reconstruction of the large roundabout near Kastel Fortress. Located between Kastel, Ferhadija and the city center, this modern park forms a new ambient area and a recognizable gathering place in the heart of Banja Luka. The central part of the park is dominated by a monumental statue of King Tvrtko I Kotromanić, over ten meters high, dedicated to one of the most important medieval rulers of this region. In addition to the impressive monument, the park features richly landscaped green areas, modern pedestrian zones and the longest linear fountain in Banja Luka, with eight cascades symbolizing the waterfalls of the Vrbas River. A special historical value is added by the medieval well discovered during construction works, now covered with glass and integrated into the park design. Thanks to its attractive location in the city’s largest roundabout, opposite Ekvator and next to Kastel, King Tvrtko Park has become a new tourist attraction and a must-visit place for walking, photography and enjoying the modern urban atmosphere of Banja Luka.
