Identity Cards for Foreigners

An identity card for foreigners is issued based on a request for the issuance and replacement of an identity card for foreigners. The request is submitted to the competent authority at the place of permanent residence of the foreigner (MUP RS, Cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police of Brčko District BiH) on form LK-OI-S1.

With the request for issuance and replacement of an ID card for foreigners, proof of approved permanent residence, proof of identity of the foreigner with proof that he is over 18 years old (travel document) and proof of payment of the prescribed fee for issuing an ID card for foreigners must be attached.

Along with the request for the issuance of an identity card for foreigners instead of a missing identity card for foreigners, the foreigner is obliged to attach a certificate of the report of disappearance, issued by the competent authority, and proof that the identity card for foreigners has been declared invalid in the "Službeni Glasnik" of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
