City Theatre Jazavac mainly focuses on contemporary social themes. We are a place of research, posing questions to the audience and ourselves about the time and place in which we live. We are a place for affirming young artists, animating, and provoking the audience. Our doors are wide open to the youngest writers and directors.

The evening stage nurtures a dramatic repertoire, relying mainly on contemporary texts, both domestic and foreign. We strive to address everyday issues in our performances while maintaining a high artistic level.

The children's stage – JUHU Stage focuses on performances for the youngest audience. These are mobile performances designed for both the main stage and areas where children do not often have the opportunity to see theatre performances. JUHU FEST – a festival for children and families – is conceived as a showcase of performances and other programs for children and families. It is held annually at the beginning of April.

Studio Jazavac is designed as a school of acting and speech. The program is adapted to the age and experience of its members. Through play and various engaging group and individual drama activities and techniques, members of the Studio master specific tasks related to the nature of dramatic creation and the theatre medium, as well as general educational tasks that contribute to personal development and the acquisition of cultural habits.

The International Festival of Young Actors ZAPLET follows the core idea we had when founding our theatre: we wanted to give young creators from all fields of theatre arts a chance. We proudly highlight that we have been persisting in this idea for seven years. As part of this festival, more than twenty performances from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia have been staged. We have hosted theatres, formal and informal troupes, organized workshops, debates, public readings, radio drama listening, concerts, and exhibitions. All of this places our festival among the most significant theatre events in our city and the Republic of Srpska.
