The beach near the Green Bridge is one of the best-known and most visited city swimming areas on the Vrbas River. Although many people today also call it Abacija, historically that name belongs to the beach located near the City Bridge and today’s Dajak Pier. However, after the promenade was arranged to connect the entire riverside stretch from the City Bridge to the former Green Bridge, locals gradually began using the name Abacija for this part of the riverbank as well. Regardless of the name, the beach near the Green Bridge is today the largest and best-arranged city beach in Banja Luka, a place that brings together the natural beauty of the Vrbas, quality infrastructure and rich facilities for relaxation, recreation and enjoyment by the river.
